Joe Scarborough on Swing States: ‘If I’m in the Trump Campaign, I’m Petrified’

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough warned the Trump campaign on Friday that numbers coming out of crucial swing states aren’t looking good for the President’s reelection. The Morning Joe host wasn’t ready ton conclude that former Vice President Joe Biden was going to win, but he indicated it would be an uphill battle for Donald Trump.

Scarborough was discussing recent polling with co-host Willie Geist and Axios’ Jim VandeHei.

“And you look. I’ll just give you four states right now that if I’m in the Trump campaign, I’m petrified by,” Scarborough began.

“Pennsylvania. I’m sorry, Joe Biden on the strength of — I mean, I’m not saying it is over, but you look at Scranton Wilkes-Barre media market, one of the bigger media markets, it’s a Republican media market, but man, it’s breaking hard for Joe Biden.”

“You combine that with the Philly suburbs, I don’t see Donald Trump winning Pennsylvania this year. I just don’t see it happen. Save the tape. I could be wrong.”

“Michigan, many people think that Michigan, in Trump’s own campaign, they fear it’s close to being gone. He goes there yesterday. He can’t do anything straight. He doesn’t wear a mask. All right. Yeah, the guys that are running around with, you know, AR-15s think he’s really cool.”

“All the suburban, like, women, higher educated people that voted Republican before break. That hurts there. And then you look at the seniors. Florida and Arizona, those states are so much — trending so much better for Biden than they should be at this point because of 65 and olders.”

“Up north, Pennsylvania and Michigan. In the Sunbelt, Florida and Arizona. Again, only May. It’s not like this guy is getting better by the day. He keeps getting worse politically.”
