Fox’s Brian Kilmeade Compares Lockdowns to Dropping ‘A Nuclear Bomb on a Country’

Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade continued his criticism of Coronavirus lockdown measures on Thursday. In a segment approvingly citing an article from a writer from the conservative Federalist, the Fox & Friends host offered perhaps his strongest condemnation yet of the public health restrictions.

“So many of these casualties are nursing homes and it’s tragic because of bad policies,” Kilmeade said.

“You don’t drop a nuclear bomb on a country, on itself, and then just leave it down there and let the carnage continue and don’t tell us when it’s over.”

“Texas, South Carolina, Florida, and Georgia gave us clues, take the success clues,” he said as Coronavirus infections and deaths continue to increase throughout the country.

Earlier in the show, Kilmeade spoke for around two minutes on reopening New York City. He’s been a consistent critic of the lockdown there, while his co-hosts Steve Doocy and Ainsley Earhardt have been far more circumspect in their comments.

“It is time to open up this ghost town,” Kilmeade said.
