CNN’s John Berman Mocks Tucker Carlson’s Attacks on Fauci: He Knows Something About Being a Buffoon

CNN’s John Berman slammed Fox News’ concerted attacks on Dr. Anthony Fauci on Wednesday. New Day showed a montage of Fox hosts criticizing Fauci. At one point, Tucker Carlson referred to Fauci as a ‘buffoon,’ which let Berman respond in kind.

“Tony Fauci has not been elected to anything. Some people think he should be dictator for the duration of this crisis. Insanity,” Carlson said.

“So there is a zero percent chance that this was not coordinated, when you see it across the primetime,” Berman said of the criticism. “I’m waiting to see how the president responds.”

“I don’t think that anyone, despite what Tucker Carlson has said, has indicated that Dr. Fauci should be a dictator,” Berman said.

“Zero people have said that. What they seem to have a problem with, Sanjay, is the science. I get that. I get that there are people who want things to be open. But to attack someone who is merely voicing what his lifetime of experience in medicine has told him, I wonder if that will undermine the faith of people inside this country.”

“He was called a buffoon. That might be a subject Tucker Carlson knows something about,” Berman said.
