Trump Says He Might Sue ‘Everyone All Over the Place’ Involved in Mueller Probe

President Donald Trump took to Twitter today to complain about Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of his campaign’s ties to Russia. Trump took the opportunity to spread false information about the probe and apparently threaten retaliation.

“These were Mueller prosecutors, and the whole Mueller investigation was illegally set up based on a phony and now fully discredited Fake Dossier, lying and forging documents to the FISA Court, and many other things,” he said, falsely.

The investigation was not based on the notorious Steele Dossier, though conservatives have frequently and wrongly claimed it was. An investigation found that while there were errors in applying for FISA warrants, there was no wrongdoing.

“Everything having to do with this fraudulent investigation is badly tainted and, in my opinion, should be thrown out,” Trump went on.

“Even Mueller’s statement to Congress that he did not see me to become the FBI Director (again), has been proven false. The whole deal was a total SCAM.”

This is again, untrue. Trump has now repeatedly and falsely claimed that Mueller misled Congress.

“If I wasn’t President, I’d be suing everyone all over the place BUT MAYBE I STILL WILL. WITCH HUNT!” he concluded.

It is unclear on what grounds Trump would sue or who exactly he would bring suit against. The Mueller investigation was not able to conclude whether or not the Trump administration had obstructed justice.
