Buttigieg Says He Won’t ‘Take Lectures on Family Values’ From Rush Limbaugh

Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg responded to comments from right-wing radio host Rush Limbaugh about the electability of the South Bend, Indiana mayor.

The country won’t elect Buttigieg president, Limbaugh said, because he’s been “kissing his husband” on stage following debates.

“They’re saying, ‘OK, how’s this going to look?‘” Limbaugh said Wednesday, apparently putting himself in Democrats’ shoes. “’Thirty-seven-year-old gay guy kissing his husband on stage, next to Mr. Man, Donald Trump.’”

Buttigieg, appearing Sunday on CNN’s State of the Union, said Limbaugh shouldn’t be regarded as an authority on that issue.

“I am not going to take lectures on family values from the likes of Rush Limbaugh,” Buttigieg said bluntly.

Limbaugh has been divorced three times.
