Tulsi Gabbard Repeatedly Refuses to Explain How Hillary Clinton’s ‘Defamation’ Cost Her $50 Million

Representative Tulsi Gabbard appeared on Fox & Friends on Thursday to discuss her defamation suit against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The Hawaii Democrat was asked repeatedly why she was suing Clinton for the enormous sum of $50 million. She refused to answer three times.

After outlining her case against Clinton, Fox News host Steve Doocy asked Gabbard about the damages she was seeking.

“A couple of questions,” Doocy said. “I don’t think she used your name directly. I know she did refer to Jill Stein as a Russian asset. But how were you damaged $50 million worth and how are you going to prove actual malice?”

“Look, I’ll let the lawyers argue the details of that,” Gabbard said. “All of the details are in the lawsuit. Once again this is a clear attempt to try to intimidate and silence those like me who are speaking out.”

Gabbard went on to talk at length about herself and her apparent anger at Clinton, but later Doocy returned to the issue of costs.

“But how has she damaged you $50 million?” Doocy asked for the second time.

“Again, you can look at the details that are in the lawsuit. I’ll let the lawyers argue that,” Gabbard said.

“Have you lost $50 million worth of campaign contributions?” Doocy said, asking about the amount for a third time.

“This is really what is at the heart of what we’re talking about here is an attempt to suppress freedom of speech, the freedom of America myself who are calling out and being very honest about the damage that policies that Hillary Clinton and others have wielded in positions of great leadership and power,” Gabbard said, avoiding the question.
