Fox News’ Judge Andrew Napolitano Says He Would Vote for Impeachment If He Were in Congress

Fox News’ judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano has said that he would vote to impeach President Donald Trump if he were a member of Congress. Napolitano has been one of only a few voices on the conservative network arguing that Trump did something wrong.

In coverage in the run up to Wednesday’s impeachment hearing in the House Judiciary Committee, Fox News’ Bill Hemmer asked Napolitano if he believed Trump had committed impeachable offenses.

“Well, I believe the Democrats have credibly argued that he committed impeachable offenses,” Napolitano said.

“The easiest one, it existed in Andrew Johnson, Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton. By directing his subordinates to not — We know that from history, every time the House of Rrepresentatives has looked at that with respect to a president they found it to be impeachable. Reasonable minds cannot disagree without rejecting history and constitutional norm.”

Hemmer then asked Napolitano if he would vote to impeach Trump if he were in Congress.

“I certainly would,” Napolitano said. “I’ll never be in the house. But I would on that count.”
