Trump Pines for ‘Good Old Days’ of Fox News as Network’s Poll Shows Majority Support Impeachment

President Donald Trump has attacked Fox News following a new poll from the network showing a majority of Americans back his impeachment. The President has criticized the conservative network before but Thursday’s poll clearly hit a nerve.

From the day I announced I was running for President, I have NEVER had a good Fox News Poll,” Trump tweeted.

“Whoever their Pollster is, they suck. But Fox News is also much different than it used to be in the good old days.”

Trump criticized some Fox News contributors by name, including judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano, who has said publicly that Trump’s phone call with Ukraine amounted to an impeachable offense.

“With people like Andrew Napolitano, who wanted to be a Supreme Court Justice & I turned him down (he’s been terrible ever since), Shep Smith, Donna Brazile (who gave Crooked Hillary the debate questions & got fired from CNN), & others,” he tweeted.

“Fox News doesn’t deliver for US anymore. It is so different than it used to be. Oh well, I’m President!”

Later Thursday morning, Trump praised Fox News’ rival OANN. The staunchly conservative network has been working hard to win over Fox viewers by being as pro-Trump as possible. OANN has been widely accused of disseminating misinformation.

Fox News polling is considered very reliable and the President is known to fret about the network’s polling more than other pollsters. Thursday’s poll shows that 51% of Americans favor Trump’s impeachment and removal from office, a serious blow to the President that is in line with other polls over the past week.
