Critics Slam ‘President Nutjob’ For Wanting To Nuke Hurricanes

President Donald Trump has repeatedly asked if the US could drop nuclear bombs on hurricanes to stop them reaching American shores, according to a new report from Axios. The news has once again brought the President’s mental fitness into question.

Criticism was swift and predictable. Many opponents of the President saw this as yet more evidence that his mental health needs to assessed, while others pointed out that the 25th Amendment is available if the cabinet has the guts to use it.

Good Lord. They should be looking at ways to get President Nutjob into the psych ward at Walter Reed,” conservative lawyer George Conway tweeted. He is married to Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway but has become a harsh critic.

Many Twitter uses referred to the President as a ‘nutjob’ or used the hashtag #nutjob. Others called Trump a lunatic and questioned his fitness for office. Conway has been pushing the issue of Trump’s mental health for some time, though this is only gradually becoming a mainstream talking point.

Former Congressman Joe Walsh, who will mount a primary challenge to Trump, retweeted the story from Axios, saying “He must not be re-elected.” Though this is a relatively muted response, it is in keeping with Walsh’ recent harsh condemnation of the President.
