Charlamagne tha God Blasts Trump: He Doesn’t Give a ‘Damn About Black People’

Kanye West, eat your heart out.

Taking a page from West’s famous dictum about then-President George W. Bush after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, Charlamagne tha God told MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle on Monday that “it’s not like (Donald Trump) gives a damn about black people.”

Ruhle was interviewing Charlamagne, host of the popular radio talk show The Breakfast Club, for his perspective on the 2020 election and on President Trump’s recent racist broadsides against Rep. Elijah Cummings and the city of Baltimore he represents in Congress.

Towards the end, Ruhle started to say “If you sat down with President Trump–,” to which Charlamagne responded with a disgusted grunt.

He went on to explain why he feels that way about the president:

“I just don’t feel like it would be a productive conversation…I don’t see why he would be talking to me other than for entertainment purposes. It is not like he gives a damn about black people. It’s not like he gives a damn about brown people. So what would he be talking to me for other than entertainment purposes?”

Harsh but fair!

Expect Trump to respond with a mean tweet, as he often does when a minority challenges him. Or worse from his point of view, shows indifference to him.
