Eric Trump Defends President’s Culture War: ‘I Love the Tweet, If You Don’t Love Our Country, Get Out’

It is a rare moment when even the curvy couch crew of Fox & Friends seems skeptical of President Trump. But that was the case Wednesday morning when they hosted presidential spawn Eric Trump to defend his father’s ongoing battle with the so-called “squad” of Democratic congresswomen he has been attacking recently.

Trump had started off with a long rant in which he complained about Democrats calling out racism and swore that doing so is not going to work against the president when the economy is good and “America is doing awesome.”

Steve Doocy then brought up the start of the most recent fight, saying that “it all started with your dad’s tweet, ‘go back.’ Was that appropriate? Some Republicans are saying, yeah, I wish he hadn’t…”

Eric Trump would not be moved:

“I love the tweet ‘if you don’t love our country, get out.’ Leave. If you complain about our country, go experience somewhere else in the world…We are blessed to live in this country and if you’re not happy about it, I like his message: Leave.”

Trump also claimed that “95 percent” of America backs the president in his ongoing culture wars because “no one has been fighting for American pride” or vets or jobs or the economy, as if none of these issues were a concern until 2017.

Brian Kilmeade admitted that the president’s approval rating has gone up to 72 percent with Republicans according to one poll from Reuters. He then pointed out that it dropped with independents, which will be a problem down the road: “You know as much as anyone…independents and undecideds will decide the election.”

Eric Trump’s response was to call the polls “phony” and sputter about “suppression polls” that purposely put out fake numbers to discourage Trump’s supporters from voting. He offered no evidence, of course.
