CNN Cuts Away From Trump Rally After Crowd Chants ‘CNN Sucks’ and Trump Attacks ‘Fake News’

Perhaps CNN has learned its lesson since 2016.

Back in the run-up to that year’s election, the news network kept its cameras trained on every Donald Trump rally no matter how much he insulted the media and riled up his crowds against the reporters covering him.

But during the Tuesday night rally officially kicking off his re-election campaign, CNN took itself out of the firing line:

Trump had been on stage for all of six minutes when he goaded the crowd into a chant of “CNN sucks,” followed by the president pointing at the reporters in the press pen and saying “That is a lot of fake news.”

Almost immediately, CNN cut away from the rally and did not go back.

Is our media learning? Maybe.
