Right-Wing Radio Host: NZ Shooting Will Happen Here Because Muslims Are Treated Better Than ‘White People’

It was really only a matter of time when far-right media found a way to blame Muslims for the New Zealand mosque shooting that left 49 dead.

During his radio show Friday morning, conservative commentator Jesse Lee Peterson seemingly parroted much of the attacker’s white supremacist manifesto, warning his audience that America would soon see similar incidents because Muslims are given preferential treatment here.

Stating that “if white people get angry…this is what’s going to happen,” Peterson went on to claim that “normal whites” are being labeled “white supremacists” while Antifa is running wild under the protection of the Democratic Party.

Piggybacking off that thought, Peterson then asserted that white Americans are justifiably getting upset with Muslims taking over the country because Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib were elected to Congress.

“You gotta start standing up before you get too angry and out of control in this country, folks!” Peterson exclaimed. “In this country, the Muslims are treated better than the Christians and white people in America. We just saw where they allowed two Muslims to become congressmen in our government, and that is not good. Those two women hate Israel and they hate America.”

Peterson has a history of making outlandishly racist and xenophobic remarks. Last year, he said that he couldn’t think of “one thing” that “black people have gone into and made better.”
