Hope Hicks Joins Fox As Executive Vice President And Chief Communications Officer

Former White House communications director and close Trump associate Hope Hicks has found her newest landing spot: New FOX.

According to a press release from the company that is left over following the merger of 21st Century Fox and Disney, Hicks has been hired as an Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer.

Hicks will not be joining Disney but instead the spun-off company that will include Fox News, Fox Business, Fox Sports and the Fox broadcasting stations.

This, of course, raises more questions about the cozy relationship between the Trump administration and Fox. Recently, former Fox News co-president Bill Shine joined the White House as he essentially replaced Hicks as the administration’s communications chief.

Besides Shine, former Fox News contributor John Bolton is now the president’s national security adviser, ex-contributor Kim Guilfoyle works for a pro-Trump Super PAC and is dating the president’s son, former Fox News host Heather Nauert is the State department’s spokesperson, one-time contributor Mercedes Schlapp is the White House strategic communications director, and former commentator KT McFarland was briefly a deputy national security adviser.

On top of the number of former Fox News personalities that hold positions within the administration, Fox stars Sean Hannity, Lou Dobbs and Jeanine Pirro are seen as unofficial advisers to the president, speaking to him on a regular basis. And former Trump campaign deputy chair David Bossie is currently a Fox News contributor.
