Fox News Denies That Kevin Jackson Was Told He ‘Could Have Said Something’ To Save His Job

A Fox News spokesperson told Contemptor this evening that the executive who ex-contributor Kevin Jackson spoke with regarding his inflammatory tweets about the accusers of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh never told Jackson he could save his job by saying something in particular.

During an interview with talk radio host Joe Piscopo Monday morning, Jackson discussed his recent firing from Fox News over a series of tweets he sent out last week regarding Christine Blasey Ford’s Senate testimony. Jackson told Piscopo that he could have said something to stay at Fox News.

“I could have said something to save my job,” Jackson asserted, per Mediaite. “Fox was like ‘Yeah you want to say this or do that?’ Hell no! I could still have a job at Fox, if I wanted to say the right thing.”

Jackson was fired by the network after he described the women accusing Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct as “skanks” and said Ford should “stop opening her legs” and instead open a book. The conservative firebrand would double down on these offensive remarks in further tweets.

The far-right commentator, who was a semi-regular presence on Fox News airwaves and served as a guest host on several occasions, also lit into some of his ex-colleagues during his interview with Piscopo while claiming Fox News was being hypocritical by firing him.

Responding to TheWrap Monday night, Jackson said he wouldn’t “discuss Fox, as I didn’t with my good friend Joe Piscopo,” adding that “black men were LYNCHED for the very same nonsense that Kavanaugh deals with today.”
