Fox News Guest: Christine Ford Won’t Testify Because She’ll ‘Look Like The Loon That She Is’

Shortly after attorneys for Christine Blasey Ford said that she wants the FBI to investigate the alleged sexual assault by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh before she agrees to testify at a Senate hearing, pro-Trump attorney Joe diGenova said that Ford didn’t want to testify because she’d expose herself as a “loon.”

Appearing on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tonight, diGenova — who was this close to joining the Trump legal team earlier this year — was asked by host Tucker Carlson to offer up his opinion on the Ford matter as the news had just broke. (The attorney was scheduled to discuss the Russia probe.)

“No, this is utter nonsense,” diGenova said in response to whether this made sense to him. “This is just another delaying tactic.”

He continued, “She really doesn’t want to testify because when she does she’s going to look like the loon that she is. She may very well believe everything she’s saying and that’s one of the signs of lunacy — believing something that isn’t real.”

The frequent Fox News guest went on to say that the Kavanaugh accuser’s lawyer was “even loonier” than her client since the “FBI is not going to investigate on a non-federal matter of an alleged assault which is unconfirmed by even the witness herself.”

Tucker noted that he has “no idea of her mental state” and that he felt she was sincere before asking diGenova how the FBI would go about following up on the alleged incident. The conservative lawyer said they can’t because “they don’t know what happened” and that there is “nothing to investigate.”

On top of the news that Ford wants the FBI to investigate her allegations, it was also reported that the professor has received “vicious harassment and even death threats,” causing her to temporarily move out of her home and hire private security.
