CNN’s Angela Rye Unleashes On Trump Loyalist: ‘My Black Life Matters And So Does My Voice!’

Trump media advisory board member and frequent Fox Business guest Gina Loudon — fresh off of her request that protesting NFL players “shut up and play ball” — decided to try her hand at CNN Wednesday night. And unfortunately for her, she was paired off against CNN political commentator Angela Rye, who was in no mood for Loudon’s talking points.

With the discussion centered on the White House’s inability to identify a senior black official in the West Wing, Loudon said that she didn’t like that we “have to count people based on skin color.” She then went on to state that past American presidents had an “amazing history” of passing civil rights and ending slavery despite having all-white staffs.

So, umm, yeah…Rye wasn’t having it.

“I think i got stuck at Gina saying that American presidents have done a great deal for people of color like ending slavery,” she declared. “I think I’m stuck in 1865 now.”

Loudon added that it was a “Republican president” who ended slavery before Rye told her she “missed the mark” by saying “we don’t necessarily need diversity in this White House.” The Trump loyalist insisted that the liberal pundit was misrepresenting what she had said, causing Rye to fire back and demand that she be given time to speak.

“You’re not going to keep talking over me,” Rye exclaimed. “My black life matters and so does my voice. Listen to what I’m saying to you. What you said was deeply offensive.”

She then absolutely unleashed on Loudon:

“What I am telling you is you can’t say, at least you shouldn’t feel comfortable saying it in 2018 — that this White House not having diversity can be akin to presidents who didn’t have black people on their staff, but for slavery, freeing slaves. That’s not okay in 2018. I let you talk through all of that nonsense. I need you to let me finish my point. My point is this. You’re not going to be able to successfully name one black person who works in the west wing because you know what, Omarosa didn’t even work in the West Wing.

Regardless of your points about slavery, which are nonsense, I hope you RIP those talking points tonight, they should never be resurrected. I am telling you it is a problem in this White House with the staff, the reason is it is slim pickings. You know why? because nobody wants to work for a racist. there’s not a single senior black person in the White House, and don’t you dare say Ben Carson because he doesn’t work there.”

The segment would only get more contentious as Loudon said she adopted a minority child with Down’s Syndrome so she understands where Rye is coming from, adding that she never would have supported Trump if she believed the president would be a threat to her child’s future.

Rye responded by telling Loudon she should be ashamed of herself for bringing her son into the conversation as she lies for the president.
