Trump Encourages Vets To Boo Media: ‘Don’t Believe The Crap You See From These People, The Fake News’

During a Tuesday address to the Veterans of Foreign Wars’ national convention in Kansas City, President Donald Trump once again unleashed his “fake news” attacks on the media while egging on the gathered veterans to boo the press covering the speech.

Complaining about the negative reaction to the international trade war he’s pushed the country into, Trump begged the crowd to “stick with us” before taking aim at the mainstream media.

“Don’t believe the crap you see from these people, the fake news,” Trump shouted as he pointed a finger towards the press corps. Heeding the call, the crowd lustily booed the reporters in the auditorium.

“I mean, I saw a piece on NBC today — NBC. not just CNN,” Trump complained. “CNN’s the worst. But I saw a piece on NBC. It was heart throbbing. They were interviewing people. They probably go through 20 and then pick the one that sounds like the worst.”

A short while later, the president then threw this Orwellian phrase out while telling the vets that everything is working out perfectly:

“Just remember, what you’re seeing and what you’re reading is not what’s happening.”

There you go.
