Fox’s Kimberly Guilfoyle: ‘I’m Happy’ To Give A ‘Beatdown’ To The ‘Liars’ In The Media

Fox’s Kimberly Guilfoyle: ‘I’m Happy’ To Give A ‘Beatdown’ To The ‘Liars’ In The Media

It was just a couple of weeks ago when cable news was completely engulfed in the Great Civility Debates following incidents in which Trump figures were publicly harassed and Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) called for additional confrontations of the president’s allies. One of those helping to drive the discussion was Fox News’ Kimberly Guilfoyle, who said that Waters’ rhetoric was hateful and divisive.

Days after she called for the rhetoric to be toned down, and a week following the tragic newsroom shooting at the Capital Gazette which left five dead, The Five co-host wants everyone to know that she’d gladly lay a beatdown on any member of the press she deems is a “smear merchant.”

During an interview with Breitbart News Daily’s Alex Marlow, the Fox News personality and current girlfriend of Donald Trump Jr. took a page from her boyfriend’s dad by by calling the media stupid and deserving of ridicule.

“Who are these jokers?!” Guilfoyle exclaimed. “You see them on television, and they have a blog, and everyone thinks they’re a journalist, and they’re a joke. They’re provocateurs. They have no substance and no meat, let alone any intellect. It’s unbelievable in this day and age anyone calls themselves a journalist because they can post something on the Internet.”

Then she let Marlow know that she was willing to get physical with certain media folks.

“Nevertheless, when you’re someone who can back it up and have substance, then you have nothing to fear from the impostors,” she declared. “I just take issue with people who are complete liars and smear merchants and say things that are not true, and they know that they’re not true, and some of these people need to get a beatdown, and I’m happy to give it to them.”

Guilfoyle also took issue with a recent GQ profile of Don Jr. Shortly after the unflattering article hit, Breitbart obtained emails from magazine that asked Trump Jr. had Oedipal feelings. The conservative outlet also was able to immediately get lengthy quotes from high-profile MAGA figures defending Don Jr.

“These people are teetering on the brink of mentally ill,” Guilfoyle said regarding the GQ piece. She added that Don Jr. is “number one up-and-coming political figure on the right.”

After the interview, Trump Jr. took to Twitter to promote Breitbart’s write-up of it.

Interestingly, Guilfoyle’s explosive anti-media comments come on the heels of a recent report that new Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott was cracking down on inflammatory and offensive comments. Per Politico, Scott pulled in the network’s top producers and told them to take control of their hosts and guest. This followed a slew of on-air remarks that caused Fox News headaches and bad press, such as Laura Ingraham’s claim that child detention centers were “essentially summer camps” and David Bossie telling a black man he was “out of his cotton-pickin’ mind.”

Of course, it should be pointed out that Guilfoyle’s comments came during a Breitbart interview and not Fox News programming. But one wonders how Fox brass feels about one of their most visible personalities making waves like this. We’ve reached out to the network for comment.
