Ann Coulter Goes Full InfoWars, Claims Asylum-Seeking Migrant Children Are Crisis Actors

Right-wing celebrity and author Ann Coulter has had an on-again/off-again love affair with President Donald Trump for a while now, largely over her concerns that Trump isn’t doing enough to keep the hawkish immigration promises he made during the presidential campaign. With the administration under intense scrutiny over its “zero tolerance” immigration policy that has resulted in thousands of migrant families being separated, the conservative provocateur used a Fox News TV appearance to speak directly to the president.

And she spread a crazed Alex Jones-level conspiracy theory to convince Trump not to be fooled by heartbreaking images of crying children.

“These child actors weeping and crying on all the other networks 24/7 right now,” Coulter said on Sunday night’s The Next Revolution.

Looking into the camera, Coulter then exclaimed: “Do not fall for it, Mr. President. I get very nervous about the president getting his news from TV.”

She went on to cite the New Yorker as the source for her insane claim, noting that it isn’t exactly a “conservative publication” while saying that the “kids are being coached” and “given scripts by liberals.” Coulter again implored the president to not “fall for the actor children.”

It would appear that the New Yorker article she cites doesn’t actually exist. CNN’s Oliver Darcy did find a New York Times story that quoted unidentified administration officials — you know, Trump folks pushing the policy — claiming that “migrant children have been coached on what to say to make fraudulent claims for asylum.”

The morning after Coulter’s TV appearance, Trump took to Twitter to claim children “are being used by some of the worst criminals on earth as a means to enter our country.”

He would also say during a Monday speech that the United State “will not become a migrant camp, and it will not be a refugee holding facility.”

  1. Our National Skank hasn’t been heard from in awhile, so I guess she had to expectorate a little verbal diarrhea to draw attention to herself.
