Avenatti Lashes Out: Stormy Lawyer Snaps At Another Reporter, Calls Him ‘Asshole’

Michael Avenatti, the media-savvy attorney of adult film actress Stormy Daniels who has become a #Resistance hero due to his constant trolling of President Trump via his non-stop cable news appearances, apparently has more than a little bit in common with the current occupant of the White House. Just like Trump, Avenatti is no fan of negative press, and will lash out with threats over articles that paint him in an unfavorable light.

Prior to his menacing email to reporters of The Daily Caller in which he threatened them with personal lawsuits for “defamation” over their coverage of him, Avenatti insulted a senior editor from The Hollywood Reporter.

In a THR piece that questioned whether Avenatti was serving his client well with his ubiquitous cable news presence, Eriq Gardner noted that Avenatti had gotten wind of the article and reached out to the publication. And while speaking to Gardner for the piece, it appeared that he tried to bully him:

“As I was preparing this column, Avenatti learned that The Hollywood Reporter would be tallying his media appearances (see below) and reached out to an editor to express concern. Avenatti indicated he’d be open to questions so I sent him a half-dozen. Speculating that the result of my assessment of his work wouldn’t exactly be flattering, he called me up and became somewhat menacing. At one point, he called me an “asshole” with an agenda and accused the lawyers I had spoken to of being jealous of his success. This conversation occurred before he threatened to sue a reporter at The Daily Caller over what he perceived to be “hit pieces.””

But Avenatti wasn’t done. After Gardner’s piece went up, the THR editor shared an email from the flamboyant lawyer.

Yeah, we all know what an email like that means. It means Avenatti wants to speak with Gardner’s higher-up to bitch and moan, all with the hopes of getting something changed in the piece.

So now we have two recent public instances of Avenatti personally attacking and/or threatening reporters over the way they’d covered him. Will this continue as more and more outlets dig into his past and publish more unflattering pieces?
