Trump’s Doctor (Yes, That One) Says He Felt ‘Raped’ After Trump’s Bodyguard Raided His Office

Hey, remember Dr. Harold Bornstein? He’s the eccentric physician who vouched for then-candidate Donald Trump’s health in an over-the-top letter that he wrote in five minutes while a Trump limo waited. Well, he’s back in the news.

And boy does he have something to say.

In an interview with NBC News, Bornstein claimed that in February 2017 his office was “raided” by Trump’s longtime bodyguard Keith Schiller, a Trump Organization attorney, and another “large man.” Bornstein says the incident occurred two days after he told the media that he prescribed Trump a hair growth medication and that the group of men seized all of the president’s medical records.

Per NBC News:

“In an exclusive interview in his Park Avenue office, Bornstein told NBC News that he felt “raped, frightened and sad” when Keith Schiller and another “large man” came to his office to collect the president’s records on the morning of Feb. 3, 2017. At the time, Schiller, who had long worked as Trump’s bodyguard, was serving as director of Oval Office operations at the White House.

“They must have been here for 25 or 30 minutes. It created a lot of chaos,” Bornstein said, who described the incident as frightening.”

Bornstein also told NBC News that he didn’t receive a HIPAA release that would authorize the release of the medical records. A person familiar with the incident said that then-White House physician Ronny Jackson wrote a letter to Bornstein but wasn’t sure if the release was also attached.

Schiller was working in the White House at the time. The attorney that accompanied Schiller was identified as Trump Organization Chief Legal Officer Alan Garten, who did not respond to NBC News.

Bornstein told NBC News he is speaking out now because of the controversy surrounding Jackson, who has been accused of over-prescribing medications when he was White House physician. Jackson recently withdrew from being considered for VA secretary following the allegations being made public and has not returned as the president’s personal doctor.

Bornstein had served as Trump’s doctor for 35 years until being pushed aside last year following his disclosure that Trump used hair growth medication.
