Seth Meyers Mocks ‘Creepy’ Trump For Not Mentioning Bill Clinton’s Affairs: ‘What A Hero’

The Trump campaign just won’t let the first presidential debate go. Days after commentators and audiences reached the conclusion that Hillary Clinton had won, Trump and his surrogates are still praising Trump for his restraint because he didn’t bring up Bill Clinton’s affairs. Seth Meyers was not impressed.

“Rather than move on from the debate, Trump and his supporters have insisted on continuing to argue about some of his worst moments, like when he cryptically hinted that he was going to attack Hillary for her husband’s affairs, but decided not to because he’s such a great guy,” Meyers said. “Trump’s campaign has been demanding that we give him credit for that — all while bringing up the exact thing he said he would not bring up.”

Trump said at the end of Monday’s debate that he had decided not to say something nasty about Clinton and her family. His campaign surrogates have moved on to talking about Bill Clinton’s affairs while Trump thinks he deserves praise for not bringing them up.

“Yes, such courage, he didn’t attack Hillary for her husband’s affairs — what a hero. Someone should give him a trophy,” Meyers said, before showing a photo of Trump’s current wife, Melania and adding “Oh, that’s right — he already has one.”

Meyers also discussed Clinton’s accusation that Trump enjoys hanging around beauty pageants and insulting women. “There’s really nothing creepier than someone who hangs around beauty pageants,” Meyers said.
