Trump Slams Hillary Over Mateen Rally Appearance With Mark Foley Sitting Behind Him

Oh, sweet, sweet, delicious irony.

After it had been noticed that Seddique Mateen, father of the Orlando shooter Omar Mateen, was in attendance during Hillary Clinton’s rally in Florida earlier this week, conservatives made a big stink about it. The Clinton camp was accused of placing Mateen in a prime spot usually reserved for ‘special’ guests, with Rudy Giuliani saying it showed how soft Hillary was on RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORISM. While the campaign claimed they were unaware of Mateen’s attendance until after the rally, Hillary still disavowed his support and insane worldviews.

Well, on Wednesday night, still dealing with the fallout from his “Second Amendment people” comments, Donald Trump tried to make some hay out of the Mateen ‘scandal’. There was just one little problem.

In attendance, seated directly behind Trump, pretty much in the exact same spot Seddique Mateen was at the Clinton rally, was none other than disgraced former Republican Congressman Mark Foley. Yep, THAT Mark Foley, the one who was forced to quit over the explicit sexual messages he sent to underage boys.

Now, people watching the rally at home at already noticed Foley even before Trump decided to hammer Clinton on the Mateen optics thing. But then he went after her, declaring that he absolutely knew everyone that was up on stage behind him that night, so Hillary can’t use the excuse that she didn’t know that Mateen was present. And there was Foley, cheering him on.

Well, needless to say, the Trump mockery was in full effect on Twitter:

MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts contacted Foley right after the rally ended and asked him if he were friends with Trump. The answer was just perfect:

Friends for thirty years. And ten years of that friendship has been while everyone knew that Foley liked to diddle young boys.

But go ahead and talk about the poor optics when it comes to Hillary, Donny Boy.
