Trump Throws Temper Tantrum Over Hillary’s Speech, Nobody Surprised

Infamous Twitter user Donald Trump unleashed a volley of angry tweets last night in response to Hillary Clinton’s acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. Clinton mentioned Trump’s thin skin and fondness for Twitter, which no doubt prompted his response.

“Imagine him in the Oval Office facing a real crisis,” Clinton said. “A man you can bait with a tweet is not a man we can trust with nuclear weapons.” Trump and his campaign quickly took the bait. The Republican candidate tweeted that Clinton was proposing a ‘borderless world where working people have no power, no jobs, no safety’.

Trump went further at a press conference, telling reporters he ‘wanted to hit’ certain speakers at the DNC including vice-presidential candidate Tim Kaine. Her referred to Kaine as ‘a very little guy’ but still seemed bothered by the little guy’s criticism of him.

During Clinton’s speech, Trump’s campaign went into overdrive. Attempting to respond to Clinton’s charge that no one person should have all the power in the US, national spokeswoman Katrina Pierson tweeted ‘#crookedHillary doesn’t understand that there is only ONE President not a village of Presidents. @realDonaldTrump can fix it!’

The campaign sent a series of emails with Trump’s usual anti-Clinton talking points, including one accusing the former secretary of state of delivering her speech ‘from a fantasy universe’. That claim will ring hollow for anyone who fact checked Trump’s RNC speech, which was filled with misrepresentations and outright lies.

The DNC has won praise from conservatives opposed to Trump. Many conservative commentators are apparently shocked that Democrats can behave patriotically. This comes as many conservatives feel worried at Trump’s ‘unhinged’ behavior, potentially felonious comments on Russia and retreat from traditional Republican free market values.
