RNC Speaker Says Obama’s “Absolutely” A Muslim Who’s “With The Bad Guys”

Yep, Donald Trump is really going to win over minorities this election.

The first night of the Republican National Convention could basically be described in a few words — brown people are making America less safe. That was the message the party was sending, and they weren’t subtle about it. Whether it was fearmongering over RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORISM, calling undocumented immigrants murderers or demonizing black people, it was clear that Trump and the GOP were going all-in with white resentment as the theme.

Obviously feeling unrestrained by societal norms based on the vibe in the room, former underwear model and washed-up soap opera actor Antonio Sabato Jr. went with the flow and went full 4chan on everyone. Following up a primetime speaking slot, which was fairly uneventful, the 44-year-old C-lister spoke with ABC News. During the interview, he pointed out that he was supporting Trump because President Obama has ruined the country.

When asked how he had ruined it, Sabato didn’t even beat around the bush. Noting many times that he doesn’t believe POTUS is Christian, regardless of Obama attending church regularly (which Sabato claims is a lie), he told ABC that he “absolutely” believes he’s a Muslim.

“We had a Muslim president for seven and a half years,” Sabato asserted in response to LZ Granderson’s question regarding whether a Jew or Muslim could occupy the White House. When Granderson pointed out Obama’s Christianity, Sabato merely said that he “doesn’t believe it.”

Prior to outright stating that President Obama is a Muslim despite all evidence to the contrary, he also suggested that POTUS was not born in America and was a terrorist sympathizer.

“I believe that he’s on the other side…the Middle East. He’s with the bad guys.”

Throughout the interview, Sabato equated all Muslims with terrorism, and stated unequivocally that only a Christian could be President of the United States. The former Melrose Place star said he wanted to support Obama early on — though he never voted for him — but he “read stuff” that made him realize he wasn’t a real American.

Earlier in the day, before he took the stage in Cleveland, Sabato told MSNBC that we shouldn’t even bother with an election and just put Trump in power right now. After he spoke, he gave a batshit interview that should have given Republican leadership ulcers due to the potential damage it could do to their standard-bearer.

But, alas, their standard-bearer is one Donald J. Trump, who has encouraged and incited this type of behavior from the start. This is who they are. They can’t run away from it anymore, try to hide it in the corners and cellars. It’s out in the open. This is mainstream Republicanism.
