There Is One Universal Truth — Daily Exposure To Sarah Palin Will Cause Brain Damage

If there is one thing most Americans can potentially agree on, it is that John McCain owes the country a very sincere apology for unleashing the hockey jersey-wearing Kraken known as Sarah Palin on an unsuspecting public.

As it is every time Palin finds herself in the news these days, she went and said something idiotic that makes the Joe Q. Public just shake his head in disbelief. In this instance, while showcasing the climate change denial film Climate Hustle, she decided to sully the good name of one Bill Nye.

Per The Guardian, the one-time Vice Presidential nominee told a Congressional gathering that The Science Guy knows just as much about science as she does.

But that was where hardcore climate change denial landed Palin on Thursday: a wood-panelled committee room in Congress where she disputed the credentials of a hugely popular science educator who has designed devices for Nasa and been awarded several honorary degrees.

“Bill Nye is as much a scientist as I am,” Palin told the gathering. “He’s a kids’ show actor. He’s not a scientist.”

And that was not even the low point of the event.

The occasion was the premiere for the Climate Hustle, a film that dismisses global warming as an excuse for government takeover and makes the outrageously false claim that rising carbon emissions are beneficial.

Yep, as the magazine pointed out, the dude who was a mechanical engineer before becoming a beloved children’s educator, who has developed numerous patents and has worked with NASA and other learning institutions to promote science and critical thinking — yeah, he is as learned and science-y as Mama Grizzly.

Of course, this whole event was to present a bullshit propaganda ‘film’ in the guise of skepticism on the BIG DOLLAR world of climate science. And, the person delivering this crap is someone whose sole contribution to science is the line, “Drill, Baby, Drill!”

Besides slamming Nye, she made the following comments at the event:

“The science is kind of getting thrown out of the window in discussions about changes in the weather. It’s something that our candidates should be talking about and giving us their view on and hopefully acknowledging that it needs to become in the science community less political. Otherwise, it leads us to believe that so many things then coming from the scientists could be bogus. If this is bogus, what else are they trying to tell us and control us around?”

Listening to Sarah Palin on a regular basis is seriously hazardous to your mental health. Please consume in moderation.
