Because MSNBC Hates Us, We Got A ‘Special’ Edition Of ‘Morning Joe’ On Tuesday Afternoon

If you tuned into MSNBC on Tuesday afternoon, you were probably both thoroughly confused and utterly disappointed.

After a break of nine days, this neverending election season finally got its next primary, as both the Democratic and Republican Parties held presidential nominating elections in Wisconsin. And, to start their special election coverage, MSNBC ‘treated’ us all with the presence of Morning Joe’s Mika Brzezinski, Joe Scarborough and Willie Geist. (This ‘special’ two-hour edition of Afternoon Joe aired at 3 PM ET.)

Now, this was announced the previous day by the network, but you can be forgiven for not paying attention…especially if you regularly avoid Morning Joe. Apparently because they haven’t gotten enough time in the limelight during election season — cuz, y’know, they have THREE HOURS A DAY to themselves — the network tossed them this bone.

At one point during their special brand of coverage, the group called out regular panelist Mike Barnicle for watching a little bit of the Red Sox-Indians game on his phone during a break. In typical Joe fashion, Scarborough smugly pointed out that it is “preseason” and the games don’t matter. Except, of course, Opening Day was Sunday and, even if the regular season hadn’t started, it would be referred to as Spring Training for MLB.

Anyway, MSNBC hates you, Don’t you forget it.
