Of Course Donald Trump Thinks Antonin Scalia Was Murdered. Of Course He Does.

With many media outlets essentially taking Monday off due to it being President’s Day, Republican Presidential candidate and attention whore Donald J. Trump did what he does best — suck up all the oxygen. Now, most of the attention he received during the day centered on his fake news conference he set up specifically to bitch about Ted Cruz and whine about the RNC. However, somewhat lost in the hubbub around his calling Cruz a liar five thousand times and threatening a third-party bid once again was his buying into the latest right-wing conspiracy.

Trump found time to call into one of his favorite radio programs, The Savage Nation hosted by crazed asshole Michael Savage. Despite Savage being a confirmed nutjob who only appeals to those who think Alex Jones is a little too namby-pamby, The Donald has called in numerous times, thanking Savage for being a solid supporter of his. This time around, Savage chewed Trump’s ear a bit over his theory that recently deceased Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia didn’t die from natural causes or heart disease but was instead murdered by the Obama Administration.

Prior to Trump calling in, Savage had been ranting about this idiocy for a while. When he brought it up to the celebrity billionaire, the current GOP frontrunner demurred, claiming he hadn’t heard much about it but thought Savage was providing a compelling case and it was something that needed to be looked into further.

SAVAGE: Donald I need to come back to the topic we’ve been all screaming about here which is Scalia, was he murdered? I know it’s pretty brutal to say that and I’m not wanting to drag you into this but this is going to get bigger and bigger and bigger. I went on the air and said we need the equivalent of a Warren Commission, we need an immediate autopsy before the body is disposed of. What do you think of that?

TRUMP: Well I just heard today and that just a little while ago actually — you know I just landed and I’m hearing it’s a big topic — that’s the question. And it’s a horrible topic, but they say they found a pillow on his face, which is a pretty unusual place to find a pillow. I can’t tell you what — I can’t give you an answer. You know usually I like to give you answers but I literally just heard it a little while ago. It’s just starting to come out now, as you know, Michael.

SAVAGE: Well I’ve been covering it for an hour and a half, there’s a lot more to it than that. There was no medical examiner present, there was no one who declared the death who was there, it was done by telephone from a U.S. marshal, appointed by Obama himself. So let me not try to drag you into something you haven’t studied because I don’t think it would be fair to you and to the audience. I think after you look into these facts, Donald, you yourself will have to come to some different conclusions than you may think.

Remember, this is a man who has actually one a Republican Presidential primary and is on the cusp of winning another one by a wide margin. And here he is, seriously considering the notion that our sitting President whacked a Supreme Court judge in order to bring about Sharia Law or whatever dumbfuck reason Savage and the other nutters out there believe was behind this hit.

This is what the Republican Party and the conservative movement are now. This where they’ve been dragged. And it ain’t getting any better.
