“Will Mexican Food Still Be Allowed In This Country?” #AskTrump Twitter Q&A Goes Off The Rails

For those looking for a bit of entertainment to get through another Monday morning, former reality TV star and Republican Presidential candidate Donald J. Trump came right to the rescue. For some unknown reason, the celebrity billionaire’s campaign team thought it would be an awesome idea to engage with Twitter users to crowdsource questions for The Donald to answer. Therefore, the Trumpster sent out a tweet Monday morning calling on his over 4 million followers to use #AskTrump and he’d field the best ones later in the day.

Well, as you’d guess, the online community had a field day with the hashtag. (Seriously, why do politicians and their staffs think this is ever a good idea?) Considering how polarizing the boorish braggart has become since announcing his candidacy three months ago, and how much material he has already given anyone who has paid even the slightest attention to the news, the quality of trollery was pretty darn good Monday. Below are some of the best ones that were sent. Sadly, Trump did not answer any of these.

Some well-known personalities got into the mix as well.

Meanwhile, Patton Oswalt stated that the whole point was for the hashtag to backfire and be a publicity stunt.

Eventually, Trump answered a number of questions and posted short videos to his timeline. As of early Monday afternoon, the hashtag continued to rack up sarcastic questions and was the top trender on Twitter.
