The Collective Butthurt From Fox News Over SCOTUS ACA Ruling Is A Wonder To Behold

In a ruling that had been anxiously awaited for months, the Supreme Court of the United States decided by a 6-3 majority that customers obtaining Affordable Care Act subsidies through federal health exchanges can continue to receive the subsidies. In the lawsuit King v. Burwell, the plaintiffs contended that the healthcare law only allowed subsidies to be obtained for those using exchanges set up by individual states. Considering that the majority of states — most with GOP governors and/or legislatures — refused to build their own exchanges, ruling for the plaintiffs would have immediately made health insurance more expensive for millions of Americans.

However, the decision wasn’t even a squeaker, as many had expected. Chief Justice John Roberts and perpetual swing vote Anthony Kennedy joined the four liberal judges in keeping the system intact. Of course, human bulldog Antonin Scalia, joined by sycophants Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito, had to write a petulant dissent to the majority decision, claiming the law should be called SCOTUScare and that “words don’t have meaning.”

The outrage was strong over at Fox News Thursday morning, especially considering that they’ve whipped themselves into an angry lather over these past few days regarding the Confederate flag issue and having to come to grips that racism does actually exist in this country. While coverage on the channel was what one would expect from the Fair and Balanced network, a good number of their contributors, pundits, reporters and outrage peddlers took to Twitter to voice their disappointment in the decision.

Let’s take a look at some of these gems. First, we have pasty-faced Jesus freak Todd Starnes complaining about Roberts being a liberal.

He also tossed out a little dog whistle racism regarding President Obama, just for good measure.

Small-faced caveman Charles Payne claimed that America was now going to be a Banana Republic because the ACA subsidies would continue. (Of course, we are now in year two of people receiving subsidies, but nevermind.)

Lover of lemons Andrea Tantaros weighed in with some very hard-hitting analysis.

If you were wondering where the Jonathan Gruber references were, look no further than Katie Pavlich’s timeline.

Turdblossom tossed in his two cents.

Well, it looks like Fox has enough faux outrage to fuel itself through the weekend. The tank was starting to get low regarding the Confederate flag debate, so this came just in time.
